RedotPay is increasing its investment in Hong Kong as it works with the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES) to strengthen its position in the global financial technology industry. The stablecoin-based payments company is expanding its local workforce, developing research capabilities and investing in infrastructure to support its growing international business.
Announced on November 3, 2026, the development highlights the company’s commitment to Hong Kong as an important centre for digital payments and financial innovation. Through its participation in the OASES strategic enterprise programme, RedotPay aims to contribute to the city’s technology ecosystem while improving its ability to serve customers worldwide.
RedotPay Expands Its Workforce and Local Operations
RedotPay has added more than 125 employees in Hong Kong since 2025, reflecting its growing operational presence in the region. The company has also expanded its office in Central, strengthening its local business operations.
According to the company, it now serves more than nine million users across over 100 countries. Its international customer base has increased the importance of building a stronger operational foundation to support payment services across different markets.
The expansion also reflects the growing demand for digital financial solutions that connect blockchain technology with everyday payment activities.
New R&D Centre Supports Technology Development
A major part of RedotPay’s Hong Kong investment is the establishment of a research and development centre at the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park.
The centre is expected to strengthen the company’s technology development capabilities and support collaboration within the wider innovation ecosystem. Its location also offers opportunities to connect with technology resources and expertise across Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
By investing in research and local talent, RedotPay is working to improve its payment infrastructure and develop solutions that respond to changing customer and business requirements.
OASES Partnership Supports Hong Kong’s FinTech Growth
RedotPay joined the OASES strategic enterprise programme in April 2026. The initiative, established by the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2022, aims to attract high-potential international businesses and encourage them to establish or expand operations in the city.
OASES provides strategic support to companies through business facilitation, connections and assistance with local expansion. Its work covers important industries such as financial technology, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing and life sciences.
OASES Executive Director Bryan Peng highlighted the importance of RedotPay’s local research and talent investment in strengthening Hong Kong’s digital asset ecosystem. He also described the city as a platform for companies seeking to expand internationally.
RedotPay Showcases Its Plans at Hong Kong FinTech Week
RedotPay is among the OASES strategic enterprises participating in Hong Kong FinTech Week. The event gives the company an opportunity to connect with public and private sector representatives, exchange ideas and present its future investment plans.
The wider OASES programme has attracted 142 strategic enterprises. According to the Hong Kong Government, these companies are expected to generate approximately HK$84 billion in investment and create around 26,700 jobs over the coming years.
A Growing Role in Digital Payments
RedotPay’s latest investment reflects the increasing importance of stablecoin-based payment services and blockchain-supported financial infrastructure. Its expanded workforce, office facilities and new R&D centre demonstrate a long-term commitment to developing its business in Hong Kong.
As the company continues working with OASES, its investment may contribute to local technology development, employment opportunities and the broader financial innovation environment. The partnership also highlights Hong Kong’s efforts to attract international fintech businesses and strengthen its position in the evolving digital payments industry.
